Have you ever seen an amazing cake and thought, ‘Wow! I would love to keep that!’ just to realise that it will all get eaten and you will only ever have that sweet, sweet memory of it?
More and more, cake makers, and home bakers, are using miniatures on their cakes to add a touch of class, a point of interest, or to save time on making something that may be a bit too tricky to make with fondant and icing, it’s also a bonus for the cake recipient to have a memento of their delicious cake!
We have had some amazing cake makers use our miniatures on their beautiful cakes and it made us realise that we needed to share this with you all, as we think they look great and it may inspire you to have a go next time you make a cake to browse through our variety of miniatures and see if there is anything that you think may suit your cake design.
This beautiful cake was made by Vicki at The Naked Cake. Vicki used one of our Black Victorian Street Lamps and a White Wire Bicycle that she painted black. We think it looks pretty amazing!

Being creative like this can be so much fun. I decided to have a go for our son’s recent birthday who wanted a mini-golf inspired cake, so I used one of our miniature golf buggies. Our son helped to decorate the cake too, it was lots of fun to create this together. It certainly isn’t as great as some of the cakes I have seen out there, as I am far from a baker and cake decorator, but thought I would share it with you all anyway!
If you have used any of our miniatures for your cakes, please send us a photo to sales@tomthumbs.com.au, we would absolutely love to see how you used one of our minis on your cake. And if you are a cake maker and would like us to help you out with choosing an appropriate miniature, please get in touch, we would love to help you out!
