New Year, New Stock & New Projects

Hello again, miniature loving friends!

It’s been a big week at Tom Thumb’s of adding new stock to the store and having a lot of fun making miniature scenes with the new minis!

I had been waiting on a few pieces to arrive so I could create this miniature picnic scene. It’s well and truly summertime right now here in Australia so I felt inspired to making a Miniature Cottagecore Picnic. It was giving old fashioned, Bridgerton type vibes in the best way. Australian summers aren’t my best time of year - autumn days and cosy winter nights are far more my vibe! However, I can definitely get behind a nostalgic picnic aesthetic. These tiny books really got me into the scene, imagining summer dresses, kicking off sandals and lazily lying by a stream, spending the day reading.

New Stock

I also made some tweaks to the website so you can find everything recently added under New in Store. There is still more to come - I’ll make my way through photographing and adding the listings hopefully by the end of the week. There are some extra cute miniatures, like this little basket of knitting. And the miniature magazines, gah!

Speaking of new stock - I asked on Instagram and Facebook this week for your ideas of what miniatures you would like to see in the shop. At the moment the range is of course mostly what was there when I took it over so I want to make sure I am re-stocking what you want but that I am also adding items that will bring your miniature projects to life!
